Being "unproductive" is what feeds the creative cauldron. It's absolutely imperative to give yourself that time and space to play and "lay around" with absolutely no end goal in mind.

Creativity as a process never truly rests. Life itself feeds the creative process with images, ideas, sounds, experiences, emotions. Rather, we go through periods of incubation, where our bodies churn in a cauldron of potential, simmering until it's cooked down.
